Concordia music faculty shares performances with students and public at recital

The faculty recital has been postponed. The date is yet to be determined.

Seward, NE (09/28/2018) — Music faculty members at Concordia University, Nebraska, will showcase vocal, instrumental and keyboard musical selections during a recital in the Music Center's Recital Hall on campus.

"The music department presents a faculty recital every fall because while we are all teachers, we are still musicians who continue to study and learn new music, practice on a regular basis and perform," said Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo, associate professor of music at Concordia. "It's something we enjoy doing and that passion for music lasts a lifetime, which we want our students to see."

The recital will feature a variety of classical repertoire performed by five faculty members including Talea Bloch, soprano, and Anne Gray, soprano, each doing a vocal performance, Grimpo on piano, Julia Marble on violin and Paul Soulek on organ.

The recital is free and open to the public. A brief reception with light refreshments will follow.
