Concordia University, Nebraska named preferred teach-out partner for Concordia University-Portland's online accelerated Master of Education programs

Seward, NE (02/20/2020) — Concordia University, Nebraska today announced it has partnered with Concordia University-Portland to become the preferred teach-out institution for Concordia Portland's online Master of Education (M.Ed.) programs.

"Our highest priority is to make sure students enrolled in an online M.Ed. program through Concordia Portland do not experience any disruption in their academic studies," said Dr. Tim Preuss, Concordia Nebraska provost. "By partnering with Concordia Portland, we are providing these students an affordable and seamless option to complete their degrees without having to transfer their credits to another higher education institution."

This agreement guarantees all Concordia Portland students enrolled in an online M.Ed. program are able to continue their academic pursuit without interruption, ensuring they complete their program with the best opportunity for on-time graduation. Concordia Nebraska will honor each student's current tuition rate, including any scholarships.

With Concordia Nebraska as the preferred M.Ed. teach-out partner, Concordia Portland has found a trusted partner with national recognition for their education programs.

"We are pleased to establish an agreement with Concordia Nebraska to teach-out our online accelerated Masters of Education program," said Dr. Michelle Cowing, Concordia University-Portland interim provost. "This partnership will give a good portion of Concordia Portland students the opportunity to finish their studies without disruption."

Over the coming days, all Concordia Portland M.Ed. students will be contacted by Concordia Portland to discuss their transition options. Students who have questions about the agreement may contact their student support advisor.
