Four new members elected to Concordia Foundation Nebraska's Board of Directors

Seward, NE (02/01/2019) — The Concordia University, Nebraska Board of Regents recently elected Shane Baack of Seward, John Fraser of Omaha, Trudy Meyer of Eagle and Teresa Siebert of Seward to the Concordia Foundation Nebraska board of directors, serving terms effective Jan. 1, 2019 through Dec. 31, 2021.

Shane Baack is as a financial services representative with Principal Financial Group. A 2004 graduate of Wayne State College (Neb.) with a bachelor's degree in business management, Baack has been involved in a number of community and commercial development projects in Seward, including the Cobblestone Hotel. Baack is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Kiwanis Club of Seward, past board chair of the Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership and serves as both a coach and official for numerous sports and activities.

Baack and his wife, Abbie, reside in Seward and have two children, daughter, Morgan, and son, Maddox.

John Fraser retired in Dec. 2017 after a 26-year career as a health care executive in Omaha, including 10 years as president and chief executive officer of Methodist Health System, which operates three hospitals with more than 5,200 employees in the Omaha metropolitan area. A native of St. Louis, Fraser joined Methodist Health System in 1991, having previously served in hospital administration in Houston and St. Louis. He has served on numerous professional and civic boards, including the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, the Omaha Symphony, the Boy Scouts of America-Mid America Council, the Salvation Army-Nebraska District, the Knights of Aksarben and the American Red Cross-Heartland Chapter.

Fraser is a member of Pacific Hills Lutheran Church in Omaha and previously served as president of the congregation. He and his wife, Debbie, have three adult children and three grandchildren.

Trudy Meyer is a Concordia alum, having graduated in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She is currently a director with BMG Certified Public Accountants, LLP in Lincoln. She has served with the Nebraska Society of CPAs and was previously chief financial officer of Talent Plus, Inc. She also serves on the Lutheran Education Foundation board of directors.

Trudy has twin sons, Colton and Jacob, and is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Trudy's late husband, Brad, went home to be with his Lord in 2008 after a battle with ALS. She is an award-winning speaker for ALS Associates, ALS in the Heartland and Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care.

Teresa Siebert is an owner and manager of Junto Wine, a winery in Seward. In the past, she served as a licensed practical nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, working in the oncology, medical, post-partum and nursery areas. A 2001 alum of Concordia with a bachelor's degree in business, Terri is a member of the Blue Valley Pet Rescue board of directors and has volunteered with TeamMates mentoring program.

Terri and her husband Kevin have two adult children and several grandchildren. A native of Milford, Terri is a member of Seward United Methodist Church, where she has served as secretary, treasurer and on the preschool board.

Five Concordia Fund Nebraska directors were also re-elected for a three year term: Kristie Holthus Holoch of York, Elaine Stuhr of Bradshaw, Chad Thies of Lincoln, John Roehrs of San Diego, California., and Carol Wright of Marysville, Kansas.

Concordia Foundation Nebraska, supports the educational ministry of Concordia University, Nebraska, particularly in the matters of development and student recruitment. Its board of directors provides advice and counsel to the university on strategic matters and initiatives.
