Karl Rovey selected for Concordia University, Nebraska's A Cappella Choir

Karl Rovey of Springfeild, Mo., has been selected by audition as a member of the University A Cappella Choir at Concordia University, Nebraska. Karl sings BASS II. He is a working toward the following degree: B.Mus. Music Education.

More than 180 students audition each fall for one of 72 spots in the internationally renowned concert choir. Student membership is comprised of majors from most academic disciplines often representing more than 15 different states and foreign countries.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the A Cappella Choir and is one of the United States' oldest touring Lutheran college choirs. It tours annually throughout the U.S. and every three years internationall. Most recently, the choir performed 16 concerts during its two-week tour of Europe in Spring 2013.The choir is directed by Dr. Kurt von Kampen. A history of the choir can be found here.
