Meredith Locke to silently tell Easter story in Gospel Mime at Concordia

A group of Concordia University, Nebraska students will perform a dramatic retelling of the story of Jesus Christ this Easter season in the second annual Gospel Mime. The performance will be held at 8 p.m. on March 27 and at 7 p.m. on March 30 and 31 in Weller Auditorium at Concordia.

Participants include:

Meredith Locke, a freshman from Winter Haven, Fla., playing a supporting role as a "good" character

"The Gospel Mime gives a real interpretation of the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ, without any words," said manager Josh Jones, a sophomore at Concordia. "It shows a visual representation of parts of the Bible that is helpful for us to mature in our faith."

The hour-long production tells the story of Christ's life using minimal props. The show is set to contemporary Christian music.

Clothing and canned goods will be collected at the door to help with relief efforts for Vanuatu, an island nation recently hit by a cyclone.

The event is free and open to the public.
