2018 Apr 19

Sarah Krause of Seward, Neb. will perform in Concordia University, Nebraska's Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra's spring concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

The string ensemble's program is composed of a variety of music including "Sinfonia in G" by Domenico Gallo, "Contrapunctus" by J.S. Bach and "Peer Gynt: I. Morning Mood, II. Aase's Death, IV. In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg among other pieces. The Chamber Choir will sing several anthems as well including Walter Pelz's "Come, Let Us Sing to the Lord" for choir, flute and organ and the unaccompanied 16th century hymn, "In Thee is Gladness."

"The students are looking forward to this concert because they get to present music from a variety of musical periods that we've been working on all semester," said Dr. David von Kampen, music instructor in composition. "I'm looking forward to their performance and am very proud of all the hard work they have put into preparing for this concert."
