Seward, NE (06/10/2026) — Hunter Remington '26, a recent music and pre-seminary graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska was recently awarded the William Wolfram Student Award in Liturgical Art for his "At The Lamb's High Feast" stole.
Concordia University Chicago's Center for Church Music has awarded the William Wolfram Student Award in Liturgical Art biennially beginning in 2022. The award's name honors William Wolfram, professor emeritus of Art at Concordia University, Nebraska, whose artwork graces church sanctuaries throughout the United States, for his distinguished service in the church.
The William Wolfram Student Award in Liturgical Art recognizes student artists who evidence commitment to Christian faith and practice, excellence in artistic expression and commitment to the creation of art purposed for use within worship settings. Undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in Lutheran colleges, universities, and seminaries located within the United States and Canada are eligible to apply. Recent graduates may also apply.
Remington won a $1000 cash prize and the opportunity to have his work presented and displayed at the annual Lectures in Church Music banquet at Concordia University Chicago in October.
The "At The Lamb's High Feast" stole is a part of a parament set that Remington designed for Concordia University, Nebraska's Weller Chapel. The paraments are inspired by the "Abundant Joy" stained glass window found in Concordia Nebraska chapel.
