Academic Excellence and Innovation Fund awards grant for statistical software
Seward, NE (04/08/2025) — The Academic Excellence and Innovation Fund recently awarded Concordia Assistant Professor of Psychology Sara Moore a grant for $11,329 to equip the Human and Social Sciences Department with improved qualitative and quantitative statistical software. This software will serve students in the department as they complete research in the social sciences.
Moore said that the software will better prepare students to serve in their future vocations.
"The purpose for seeking the funds was to improve the capacity of the Human and Social Sciences Department to enhance the scientific knowledge of students by providing qualitative and quantitative statistical software for empirical and applied research projects to better equip students for future careers and service in the community," Moore said.
The statistical programs paid for with this grant would include MAXQDA and SPSS, for qualitative and quantitative data, respectively. The programs would provide students in the social sciences with software to supplement their projects in research methodology and statistics courses.
