Academic Excellence and Innovation Fund awards grant to create graduate program promotional materials
Seward, NE (10/13/2026) — Concordia University, Nebraska's Academic Excellence and Innovation Fund recently awarded Assistant Vice President of Graduate Programs and Operations Jon Krause $7,000 to create promotional videos showcasing Concordia Nebraska's graduate academic offerings and the non-credit Studia Vitae learning opportunities.
"This grant gives us an exciting opportunity to tell the story of graduate education at Concordia University, Nebraska in a way that is authentic, engaging and inspiring to the people we hope to serve," said Krause. "These videos will become resources we can share through social media, conferences, events and other outreach efforts, helping more people discover how Concordia can be part of their lifelong learning journey."
Student workers and Paul Scholars will help with this project, providing them with a unique, hands-on learning opportunity. The Concordia Nebraska Marketing and Communications Department will help to produce these videos. The videos will include one broader, graduate-specific promotional video that highlights graduate level offerings and the university's Studia Vitae continuing education courses, as well as a few shorter videos that are program specific.
"Through a primary three-minute video and several shorter program-specific videos, we will be able to showcase the breadth of our individual graduate courses, certificates, master's programs and our non-credit bearing Studia Vitae learning opportunities while highlighting what makes a Concordia graduate education distinctive - a Christ-centered approach to learning, meaningful connections with faculty and peers and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally," said Krause.
Concordia University, Nebraska's Academic Excellence and Innovation Fund was created in 2024 to encourage and celebrate faculty and student scholarship, placing particular focus on the intersection of faith and specific disciplines as well as critical issues in the family, church and world. The grants provide funds to support scholarship, providing resources to guide scholarly efforts. The fund was developed as part of the university's SALT and LIGHT strategic plan.
