Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra present spring semester concert

Seward, Neb. (04/19/2018) — The Concordia University, Nebraska Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra will hold their spring semester performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

The string ensemble's program includes a variety of music including "Sinfonia in G" by Domenico Gallo, "Contrapunctus" by J.S. Bach and "Peer Gynt: I. Morning Mood, II. Aase's Death, IV. The Chamber Choir will sing several sacred anthems including Walter Pelz's, "Come, Let Us Sing to the Lord" for choir, flute, and organ and the unaccompanied 16th century hymn, "In Thee is Gladness."

"The students are looking forward to this concert because they get to present music from a variety of musical periods that we've been working on all semester," says Dr. David von Kampen, music instructor in composition.
