Children's author David Shannon to visit Seward
Seward, NE (09/29/2017) — Children's book author David Shannon is coming to Concordia University, Nebraska, as part of his fall tour hosted by the Plum Creek Children's Literacy Festival and Chapters Books & Gifts of Seward at 6 p.m., Oct. 10, 2017 in Weller Hall on campus.
Shannon will participate in a special family event, including a 30-minute presentation and live drawing, as well as a book signing. His books will be on sale during the event, including his bestseller, "No, David!" and his new book, "Bizzy Mizz Lizzie" which approaches the subject of over-scheduled children with his signature humor and heart.
David Shannon is the internationally acclaimed creator of more than thirty picture books, including "No, David!," a Caldecott Honor Book and his second New York Times Best Illustrated Book of the Year, and three more David picture books. Shannon's bestsellers include "A Bad Case of Stripes," "Too Many Toys!," and "Duck on a Bike." He lives in California with his family.
The event is free and open to the public; however, tickets are required to guarantee a seat in Weller Hall for the presentation and a spot in the book signing line.
