Concordia experiences largest undergraduate enrollment in 45 years

Seward, NE (09/05/2018) — Concordia University, Nebraska, announces the arrival of 428 new undergraduate students registered as of Aug. 29, 2018, leading to a full-time undergraduate enrollment of 1,247 students on the Seward campus, the highest enrollment in 45 years.

"Concordia's mission is centered on preparing students, so our faculty and staff are thankful for a campus brimming with talented students and an opportunity to equip these students for lives of learning, service and leadership," said Scott Seevers, senior vice president of enrollment management and marketing.

The fall 2018 incoming class of 428 students is the largest incoming class at Concordia in decades. Full-time undergraduate enrollment has increased to 1,247 students on the Seward campus, up from 1,209 last year, making this the eighth largest enrollment in Concordia's 125 year history.

"In this ultra-competitive recruitment environment, this year's successful result demonstrates that Concordia is thriving and is a testament to the hard work of our entire faculty and staff," said Brian Friedrich, president of Concordia University. "In our 125th academic year, our continued enrollment growth is a strong endorsement of our mission and is spurring momentum campus-wide. We thank God that more students will benefit from our excellent faculty, facilities and academic programs."

In addition, the university's College of Graduate Studies and Adult Education serves 578 full-time and part-time adult learners registered for classes as of Aug. 29, 2018.

The graduate college offers online and on-ground classes in the Fallbrook area of north Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as in Omaha, Nebraska.
