Concordia honors graduating seniors for outstanding academic achievements

Seward, Neb. (05/04/2018) — Concordia University, Nebraska, honored graduating seniors who achieved outstanding academic accomplishments during their college career at its annual Academic Honors Reception on Friday, May 4.

Every year, each academic department may give two or more awards, depending on the size of the department and the number of students in the program. Each department establishes its own criteria for determining award recipients, but the criteria must, at minimum, consider the student's grade point average, level of service to the department and level of service to Concordia.

"I've loved teaching at Concordia and teaching you," said Dr. Jenny Mueller-Roebke, professor of English and university provost. "What a great contribution to our community you all have made! Thank you for your commitment to Concordia." This is Mueller-Roebke's final commencement weekend. She previously announced her retirement effective May 31, 2018.
