Concordia Nebraska announces new Studia Vitae continuing education program

Seward, NE (10/01/2025) — Concordia University, Nebraska recently announced that the university will soon launch a new non-credit continuing education and lifelong learning program called Studia Vitae. The program will offer Christ-focused continuing education opportunities in a variety of focused areas through an online scheduled and self-paced learning platform.

"Concordia's mission has never simply been about courses, credits, degrees and programs. It is about discovering the treasure of Christ-centered learning and using those treasures to the glory of God and the blessing of others," said Concordia Nebraska President and Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Director of Academic Ventures Dr. Bernard Bull. "Through Studia Vitae, we are committed to providing accessible, rich, rewarding, Christ-centered learning opportunities that can help people learn and grow throughout life, and to use this learning in ways that advance the missions of the places where they lead and serve."

The program's first courses are expected to launch in January 2026. Concordia Nebraska's Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are short, non-credit courses thoughtfully curated for Christians who want meaningful growth without the commitment, workload or cost of a full credit-bearing course or graduate class. The moderately-priced courses offer practical insights and spiritual encouragement in an easily obtainable format while supporting both personal growth and benefiting organizations that the participant serves.

Featuring impactful and immediately-applicable content, courses will focus on topics such as leadership and Christian thought, foundations of Lutheran education, sport and faith formation, applied AI, fundraising and philanthropy for Christian organizations, children's literature and faith formation, liturgical visual art, rural and small-town ministry, ludology and more.

Each CEU course is delivered in six one-hour sessions and is $150. Discounts are available for program participants who are members of preferred partner organizations. The short, focused sessions are available as scheduled webinars that will also be recorded for future viewing. Enrollment is flexible and open to anyone with no prerequisites required and no commitment needed to take additional classes.
