Concordia Nebraska hosts School Administrators Luncheon
Seward, NE (08/21/2026) — On August 3, Concordia University, Nebraska's Department of Education hosted the 2026 Nebraska PK-12 School Administrators Luncheon. The annual event takes place at the university each August and includes representatives from schools and districts that partner with Concordia Nebraska to offer field experience and student teaching placements for the university's education majors. This year's event included roughly 50 school leaders as well as Concordia Nebraska faculty and staff.
At the event, representatives from Concordia Nebraska shared information about undergraduate and graduate education programs as well as field experience and student teaching updates. Each of the PK-12 school leaders in attendance also had an opportunity to share updates about their summer projects, new teachers and upcoming initiatives.
"This event provides a valuable opportunity for local administrators to connect, celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and share what lies ahead for their schools in the coming year," said Concordia Nebraska Assistant Dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Dr. Amanda Geidel. "It is also our way of expressing sincere appreciation to our partner schools for the many ways they support Concordia Nebraska's teacher preparation program by welcoming our students for field experiences and student teaching. We are grateful for these partnerships and look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships with local school leaders as we work together to prepare the next generation of educators."
Concordia Nebraska Secondary Education Program Director Dr. David Rindt opened the luncheon with the welcome address and prayer. College of Education Dean Dr. Lorinda Sankey spoke about the university's graduate programs and recent accreditation process, Middle Level Program Director Dr. Amy Stradtmann spoke about the university's undergraduate program and literacy initiatives, Director of Field Experience Professor Jerrita Staehr spoke about field experience and Provost Dr. Tim Preuss gave the closing prayer.
