Concordia Nebraska looks forward to Seeds of Generosity giving celebration

Seward, NE (02/17/2026) — This March, Concordia University, Nebraska will celebrate the university's supporters during Seeds of Generosity, a month-long event focused on how God works through the faithful giving of His people to sustain the mission of Christ-centered education at Concordia University, Nebraska. Throughout the month, the university will share stories of its "joyful givers" and feature several special events on campus for faculty, staff and students.

"We're so thankful for the generosity of our donors whose gifts reflect God's heart," said Derek Engelbart, Vice President of Institutional Advancement. "Their support goes far beyond a financial contribution. It's a partnership in something truly meaningful, with a lasting impact. Because of our generous donors, Concordia University, Nebraska can continue its mission of Christ-centered education, preparing servant leaders to make a difference in the church and the world. Their faith-filled giving inspires us every day, and we couldn't be more grateful!"

During Seeds of Generosity this March, gifts to the university will have even greater impact thanks to a $50,000 match from generous friends of Concordia, Andrew '89 and Jen Knudten. Every dollar given to the Concordia Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000, doubling the support for Concordia's mission and helping us provide Christ-centered education to even more students.

Thrivent members also have an easy, no-cost way to give during Seeds of Generosity. By designating Thrivent Choice Dollars by March 31 to Concordia University, Nebraska, Thrivent members can support Christ-centered education using funds already set aside for charitable giving.

Concordia University, Nebraska's Concordia Fund is the foundation that sustains the university's mission, ensuring students have access to affordable, Christ-centered education. The fund supports essential operations and provides scholarships that make a Concordia education both excellent and accessible for every student.
