Concordia Nebraska presents "Bulldogs on the Road" trip to Ireland, crossing paths with travels of university A Cappella Choir 2026 international tour

Seward, NE (06/10/2026) — Each year, Concordia University, Nebraska coordinates "Bulldogs on the Road" trips for alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university. This summer, the university hosted its largest Bulldogs on the Road trip to date: Concordia Nebraska faculty, staff, alumni and friends traveled to the Emerald Isle of Ireland May 13-23, 2026. The matchless 10-night land excursion explored the bustling city of Dublin, the charming village of Killarney and the dramatic West Coast near Galway.

The trip also included a breath-taking performance by the Concordia Nebraska A Cappella Choir at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and the opportunity to enjoy two meals with the choir.

"This journey to Ireland and Scotland will forever be one of our most memorable Bulldogs on the Road experiences. Watching 93 wonderful travelers come together to celebrate God's incredible creation through the breathtaking sights, rich cultures, beautiful music and meaningful fellowship was truly special," said Concordia Nebraska Senior Director of Outreach, Relations and Engagement Jen Furr. "Along the way, countless memories were made, friendships were strengthened and new connections were formed that will last a lifetime. We are grateful for every moment shared together and for the opportunity to experience God's world in such a powerful and unforgettable way."

Next summer, Concordia University, Nebraska has invited Concordia University Chicago to join in a shared travel experience July 14-24, 2027, to Iceland centered on the theme "One Journey - Stronger Together." Rooted in Ecclesiastes 4:9, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil," the trip celebrates fellowship, faith and the enduring bonds formed through Concordia education.

Alumni and friends from both campuses will explore Iceland's stunning natural beauty while enjoying the comfort and hospitality of a world-class cruise experience and strengthening connections between Concordia Chicago and Concordia Nebraska.
