Concordia Nebraska's Dr. Thaddeus Warren recognized at LCMS Convention

Seward, NE (09/07/2026) — Concordia University, Nebraska Professor of Human & Social Sciences and Chair of Human & Social Sciences Department Dr. Thaddeus Warren '91 was recently recognized by LCMS Youth Ministry at the 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, July 18-23, 2026, in Phoenix.

This year's convention featured a new event: the Office of National Mission (ONM) Recognition Banquet. Warren was recognized at the event for his service as a director of Christian education (DCE).

"Dr. Warren is a faithful servant leader whose influence extends far beyond the classroom. He has helped form and support a multitude of directors of Christian education who faithfully serve God's people, congregations and communities across our country and world," said Director of LCMS Youth Ministry Mark Kiessling. "LCMS Youth Ministry is grateful for his continued partnership and for the time, wisdom and care he has so generously invested in young people across the Synod, [Concordia Nebraska] students and DCEs who serve across the Synod."

Warren has taught psychology, education and theology classes at Concordia Nebraska for 20 years. Prior to serving at Concordia Nebraska, he served as a teacher and DCE and was also the DCE program director at Concordia University, St. Paul.

He has a bachelor's degree in education and psychology, Lutheran Teacher Diploma, DCE specialist degree and master's degree in family life from Concordia Nebraska. He also has a master's degree in clinical counseling and a Ph.D. in education and human development.
