Concordia Nebraska to host annual Celebrating Business at Concordia Luncheon
Seward, NE (03/10/2026) — On April 24, Concordia University, Nebraska will host its annual Celebrating Business at Concordia Luncheon. The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Cattle Conference Room in Janzow Campus Center. Sam Huebner '11 is the keynote speaker for this year's luncheon.
The luncheon has historically served as a place for the university and the business club to recognize women in business. Recently, the event expanded to allow The Institute for Ethical Leadership to recognize women in business and servant leaders in business, as well as to celebrate the achievements of business alumni and students.
Sam Huebner '11 graduated from Concordia with a degree in business administration. He currently serves on the university's Board of Regents, replacing his father Richard Huebner. His wife, Kirsten Kohlwey Huebner '12 graduated with a degree in business and marketing. They are the co-founders of two ecommerce brands: Parker Baby Co. and TallSlim.com.
The Huebner's originally founded Parker Baby Co. in 2015 while living in Colorado after having twin daughters. The business grew very quickly, leading Sam to quit his day job to work at Parker Baby full time. They recently expanded their business, creating a sub-brand called Parker Kids.
The couple recently moved their business to Seward, Nebraska to allow them to expand the business and consolidate product storage at a central facility. They are looking to hire local staff to create products on-site rather than using a third party and shipping the products to Seward.
Registration for the event closes at 5 p.m. on April 13. Register for the event here.
