Concordia Nebraska to host Project Pumpkin event on October 26th

Corrected date in copy to Sunday, October 26.

Seward, NE (10/15/2025) — Concordia University, Nebraska plans to host its annual Project Pumpkin event on Sunday, October 26 between 3 and 5 p.m. in David Hall.

Project Pumpkin is a decades-old tradition at Concordia where young children and families from the Seward community trick-or-treat throughout the halls of David Hall on campus. The event is hosted by David residents and resident assistants (RAs). Each RA and their residents decorate their halls in unique ways and hand out candy to visitors.

"Project Pumpkin is a longstanding Concordia Nebraska tradition that impacts both the Seward and Concordia community. Our students love the opportunity to serve the community by providing and fun, safe and free event," said Anna Stumpf, Concordia's director of student life.

Students can support the event by decorating their halls with their RAs if they are a David resident or by donating candy to the event.

Concordia University, Nebraska is located at 800 N. Columbia Avenue in Seward. David Dorm is located off Columbia Avenue, on the corner of East Lincoln Street and Locust Street.
