Diane Lichty honored at 2023 Women in Business Event

Seward, NE (03/30/2023) — On March 24, 2023, Diane Lichty of Seward, Nebraska was recognized by Concordia University, Nebraska as this year's Outstanding Woman in Business Award recipient at the university's annual Women in Business luncheon.

The luncheon, hosted by the Concordia University Business Club, celebrates and recognizes the achievements and servant leadership of businesswomen in Seward County. In attendance were business partners of Concordia Nebraska, local businesses and students in the university's Business Club.

Diane Lichty is a second-generation owner/principal of Suhr & Lichty Insurance, one of the most recognized agencies in the state of Nebraska. Diane has been a licensed independent agent for more than 35 years, and she has been active in the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) professional organization at the state and national levels. She was recently named Agent of the Year and has served on the PIA board of directors.

A lifelong resident of Seward, Diane graduated from Seward High School. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and earned degrees in business administration and human resources. She has led a variety of projects for Kiwanis, served on the Seward Community Scholarship Committee, and is currently on the board of Seward Lumber.

Also at the luncheon event were Concordia Nebraska alumni and keynote speakers, Venita Steinbauer CO '88 and Becky Soppe CO '98. Both are therapists from GracePoint: Institute for Relational Health.

All proceeds from the annual Women in Business luncheon benefit the Women in Business scholarship fund.
