Local music faculty share performances with students and public at recital

Seward, NE (09/29/2017) — Music faculty members at Concordia University, Nebraska, will showcase vocal, instrumental and keyboard musical selections during a recital at 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2017, in the Music Center's Recital Hall on campus.

"The music department presents a faculty recital every fall because while we are all teachers, many of us are also performers," said Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo, associate professor of music at Concordia. "It's good for our students to see that, as musicians, we never stop learning or practicing and that our passion for music lasts a lifetime."

The recital will feature a wide variety of repertoire performed by several faculty members including Talea Bloch, soprano, Anne Gray, soprano, and Lisa Howell, soprano, each doing a vocal performance, Grimpo on piano, Julia Marble on violin, Wendy Schultz on trombone, Paul Soulek on organ, and David von Kampen on piano.

The recital is free and open to the public. A brief reception will follow.
