Registration now open for September 2026 teaching strategy focused course in Concordia Nebraska's Studia Vitae continuing education program

Seward, NE (08/05/2026) — Registration is now open for a new class - Leading the Secondary School Classroom: Effective Strategies for Teachers - in Concordia University, Nebraska's Studia Vitae non-credit continuing education and lifelong learning program. Studia Vitae offers Christ-centered continuing education opportunities in a variety of focused areas through an online, scheduled and self-paced learning platform. Registration is available at ceu.cune.edu.

Leading the Secondary School Classroom: Effective Strategies for Teachers will equip teachers with practical strategies to build respectful relationships, establish clear expectations and foster student engagement while supporting the mission and vision of Christian education. Participants will explore the role of the teacher as classroom leader and the foundational principles of classroom management, learning structures, communication and discipline within the secondary classroom.

The course will be led by Executive Director and Principal of Lutheran High School of Kansas City Adam Kirsch '03. He has more than 20 years of experience with previous service at Racine Lutheran High School and Milwaukee Lutheran High School in various roles including teacher, coach, athletic director, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal and principal. Kirsch has a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Concordia Nebraska and a master of science in educational administration from Concordia University Wisconsin. He and his wife Lauren have three children in Lutheran schools.

The CEU course will take place on Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. CT beginning Wednesday, September 9. The course will be delivered in six one-hour sessions and is $150. Exclusive pricing is available for program participants who are members of preferred partner organizations. The short, focused sessions are available as scheduled webinars that will also be recorded for future viewing. Enrollment is flexible and open to anyone with no prerequisites required and no commitment needed to take additional classes.
