Concordia University to host Military Appreciation Day Oct. 28

Seward, Neb. (10/19/2017) — Concordia University, Nebraska, will host Military Appreciation Day in conjunction with the home football game starting at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28.

Area service men and women will be honored. In addition, a cannon and other military equipment from the Nebraska National Guard will be available for viewing. The cannon will go off at the end of the national anthem and after every touchdown scored by the Concordia

"This is an opportunity that we have as an institution to recognize the duty and sacrifices of those who serve," said Corey Gray, director of career development and retention, and former sergeant of the Army. We want to be able to show gratitude to these service members and veterans from our community and our family here at Concordia."

Game time for the match against Dakota Wesleyan is 1 p.m. Service members who present military identification will be admitted to the game free of charge.
