Dr. Jamie Williams, CEO and former NFL player, to give Martin Luther King Jr. Day talk at Concordia
Seward, NE (01/22/2025) — Concordia University, Nebraska recently announced that Dr. Jamie Williams will be one of three guest speakers visiting campus during the spring semester. Williams is scheduled as this year's Martin Luther King Jr. Day speaker and will give his talk in Weller Chapel at 7 p.m. on January 28.
Williams is a twelve-season former NFL player and Superbowl winner who currently serves the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as its Associate Athletic Director of Leadership, Student Athlete Recruitment and Diversity Initiatives. He is also the President and CEO of Team81 Inc., a corporation that provides IT services for government agencies.
Williams has also exercised his extensive creative talents in helping to complete the pro football film Any Given Sunday. Other accomplishments include creating a team that launched an NCAA Athletic program at the Academy of Art University, collaborating with colleagues to launch the Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Center in Sofia and Varna and working as an entrepreneur.
Williams' talk at Concordia Nebraska will synthesize perspectives from his experiences as a professional football player, an entrepreneur and a leader. With core ideologies including ethical leadership, teamwork, mindfulness, reverse accountability and strategic flexibility, he will speak to students, faculty and staff about how they can incorporate important skills into their lives.
