Remedy Drive to perform at St. John Lutheran Church

Seward, NE (10/05/2017) — The Christian rock group Remedy Drive in conjunction with Lutherans for Life will give a free concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 with Concordia University, Nebraska, student bands as the opening acts.

David, Paul, Philip and Daniel Zach of Remedy Drive just finished their festival season and summer tour of their newest album "Hope's Not Giving Up." The four brothers formed their band out of Lincoln and have made a name for themselves in Christian and alternative rock music. David Zach will also speak on human trafficking during the Lutherans for Life Regional Conference the next day in Lincoln.

Remedy Drive has performed consecutively at St. John Lutheran Church for the past three years, but this is the first time that they are including a student band as their opening act. Red Velvet 6 has been asked to start off the concert. Band members include Matthew Goltl (sophomore from Wichita, Kan.) on drums, Emily Kunze (junior from Lincoln) on vocals, Josiah Schultz (junior from Bay City, Mich.) on guitar, David Schrampfer (junior from Appleton, Wis.) on guitar and vocals, Jeramy Willis (junior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa) on bass guitar, and Emma Odorico (junior from Bay City, Mich.) on keyboard. RV6 regularly plays for student led Praise worship, chapel, and church services.

University Praise Bands are open to all students who sing or play an instrument and desire to play at chapel and other various special events, student led events, and road trips. Auditions take place at the beginning of every semester. University Praise Bands are supervised through the Chaplain Ryan Matthias' office.

The event is free and open to the public. St. John Lutheran Church's gymnasium doors open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
