Concordia University, Nebraska students will direct and perform five one-act plays covering genres including comedy and suspense in the annual One-Act Play Festival.

Freshman Laura Hedstrom from Concordia University, Nebraska won the Lincoln chapter competition of The Regional Competition for Young Organists on March 14.

A group of Concordia University, Nebraska students will perform a dramatic retelling of the story of Jesus Christ this Easter season in the second annual Gospel Mime. The performance will be held at 8 p.m. on March 27 and at 7 p.m. on March 30 and 31 in Weller Auditorium at Concordia.

The Concordia IMPROVables, an improvisational theatre group, will bring 24 hours of laughs to campus this spring.

Concordia University, Nebraska celebrated the Christmas season with its annual Christmas at Concordia concerts Dec. 5-7 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Christmas at Concordia weekend also included the 20th annual Scholarship Parade of Homes and a community reception.

High school students from across the country performed in an honor choir and honor band as part of Musical Arts Day, Friday, Nov. 7, on the Concordia University, Nebraska campus. Ten student musicians from Concordia University, Nebraska perform in the fall honor recital on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The audition-only annual fall recital features voice and instrument solos of classic to contemporary music.

Concordia will hold a chamber music recital on Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall in the Music Center. The recital will feature a brass ensemble, vocal groups and a piano trio that will play on one piano.
