Christmas at Concordia weekend Dec. 4-6, 2015, included three events as part of Concordia University, Nebraska's annual Christmas celebration: Christmas at Concordia concerts, a community open house and the Scholarship Parade of Homes.

The Concordia University, Nebraska Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra will hold their fall semester performance on Dec. 10, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

The annual winter JazzFest concert, celebrating the style of blues, jazz, and swing music, is Dec. 11, 2015, at 7 p.m. in Weller Hall auditorium at Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward.

Music composed by Concordia University, Nebraska students will be featured in a recital on Nov. 18, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

Three teams of computer programming students from Concordia University, Nebraska competed in the annual Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) North Central North America Regional Programming Contest Oct. 31, 2015. Concordia's team called FFoD placed 39th out of the 223 teams at the event.

Five Concordia University students traveled to Belize in Central America Oct. 10-17, 2015, on a health mission trip in partnership with the Belize Mission Society and Concordia University Texas. The trip was led by Concordia Nebraska's Director of the RN to BSN Program Heidi Gubanyi.

Concordia will hold its Fall Honor Recital Nov. 11, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

Concordia University, Nebraska's Chamber Recital is scheduled for Nov. 5, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus. It will feature voice duets, piano, cello and trumpet performances, as well as a brass ensemble performance.

Concordia sophomore Meredith Locke and senior Lauren Staehr were awarded first place in three separate categories during the National Association of Teachers of Singing music competition Oct. 2, 2015, at the University of Nebraska Omaha campus.

Concordia University, Nebraska has named 30 students to receive the President's Scholarship, the highest financial honor available for the 2015-2016 school year. A group of 20 Concordia University, Nebraska students, alumni and friends embarked on a tour of the Holy Land from June 11-25, 2015. The tour, led by Dr. Mark Meehl, professor of theology, included visits to Galilee, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and other Biblical sites in the surrounding areas.

Students from Concordia University, Nebraska joined St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska, from June 19-29, 2015, on the church's sixth annual mission trip to Akiachak, Alaska, a remote Yupik village along the Kuskokwim River.

The Omega Lambda chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, a theatre national honor society, inducted new members this spring at Concordia University, Nebraska. The society recognizes student involvement in theatre arts programs.

Concordia University, Nebraska awarded degrees to 316 graduates in May 2015. Graduates receiving a degree in December 2014, May 2015 or August 2015 were invited to participate in the university's 108th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
