The best of Concordia University, Nebraska students' artwork, as judged by Concordia's full-time art faculty, are on display at the Marxhausen Gallery of Art from March 31 through April 11.

The Concordia University, Nebraska Chamber Orchestra will hold their spring semester performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

Students of Concordia University, Nebraska, will be performing two one-act plays during the annual One-Act Play Festival, running April 4-6. The festival begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre in the Music Center on campus.

Ten students from the Concordia University, Nebraska Speech Team have qualified to compete at this year's American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET), the National Forensic Association National Championship and the National Speech Championship on April 4-6.

Concordia University, Nebraska's Vocal Jazz Choir is set to perform their annual spring concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at Neutral Grounds located on Seward's downtown square.

The University A Cappella Choir from Concordia University, Nebraska, will travel to Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri for its annual spring tour March 27 through April 1. The choir will conclude the tour with two local-area concerts on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln and at 7 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will present "Harvey," by Mary Chase on Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m., at Olde Glory Theatre located at 348 Jackson Ave. in Seward.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will hold its Spring Honors Recital at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, March 19 in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

The Concordia IMPROVables, a student improvisational theatre group, brought 24 hours of laughs to campus from 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the Janzow Campus Center.

Concordia University, Nebraska's Speech Team recently competed in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Forensics Association (NIFA) State Championship and broke through to final in three events.

The Concordia University, Nebraska Wind Ensemble, a select 40-member concert band, will be touring March 1-10, 2019, with stops in Illinois, Indiana and Kansas.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will present an evening of comedy and laughs in the student production, "Where We Are" on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m., all in the Studio Theater located in the Music Center on Concordia's campus.

Concordia senior and graphic designer Sydney van der Heijden recently designed and formatted a book commemorating Concordia University, Nebraska's 125th anniversary.

Four Christmas at Concordia concerts brought more than 3,000 guests, including Seward County residents, residents from Nebraska and other states, Concordia alumni, students, and others to St. John Lutheran Church near campus. The concerts featured the Women's Cantamus Choir, Male Chorus, Concordia Handbell Choir, University Brass Ensemble, University A Cappella Choir and University Symphonic Band.

The Concordia University, Nebraska Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra will hold their fall semester performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

The Concordia Handbell Choir and Handbell Choir II will perform at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 in the Music Center's Recital Hall on Concordia's campus. Additionally, the Handbell Choir will be participating in the Nebraska State Capitol's Tree Lighting at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9.

Concordia senior Austin Theriot recently received the 2018 Richard Hillert Award in Student Composition for his piece "Psalm 8."

Concordia University, Nebraska's winter Jazzfest will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will hold its Fall Composer Recital at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and its Fall Honor Recital at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will present an evening of historically, ethnically and religiously thought-provoking theatre in the production "The Diary of Anne Frank" at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2; Saturday, Nov.3; Friday, Nov. 9; Saturday, Nov. 10, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, all in Weller Hall auditorium.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will present an evening of music, laughter and theatre in an entirely student-produced musical revue at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Studio Theater of the Music Center on Concordia's campus.

The University Symphonic Band of Concordia University, Nebraska, will perform its fall concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the Cattle Conference Room in Janzow Campus Center.

Fourty-three students traveled abroad this summer to teach, study, or serve the global community. Students were building relationships with people in Alaska, Bali, Bhutan, China, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Poland and Sierra Leone.

Concordia University, Nebraska awarded 158 undergraduate and graduate degrees following the summer session in August 2018.

The Omega Lambda chapter of Alpha Psi Omega (APO), a theatre national honor society, inducted 10 new members this spring at Concordia University, Nebraska. The society recognizes student involvement in theatre arts programs. Students accumulate points through their participation in theatre activities at Concordia. Upon reaching the required point level, they are invited to become a member of APO through a required induction ceremony. This year's ceremony was held on Saturday evening, April 28, in the Studio Theatre on Concordia's campus. "The ceremony allows us a chance to honor and celebrate the talents of students who have participated in multiple productions and areas of theatre," said Bryan Moore, associate professor of communication and theatre. "They are only a fraction of the entire group of students who dedicate their time and talents to our theatre program, and we are grateful for all who participate and attend our events. APO plans to host campus and off-campus activities next year with our student theatre interest group Curtain Club."

Concordia University, Nebraska named 248 students to its honors list for the spring 2018 semester. The top 25 percent of all undergraduate students who complete at least 12 credit hours qualify for the honors list.

Concordia University, Nebraska, announced its May 2018 undergraduates who graduated with distinction or high distinction honors based on their academic achievements at Concordia Nebraska. Nearly 10 percent of the undergraduate class have graduated with high distinction, and an additional five percent of the class have graduated with distinction. A student must also have completed at least 64 credit hours at Concordia Nebraska to be eligible for graduation honors.

Concordia University, Nebraska, held its 111th commencement on Saturday, May 5 awarding undergraduate and graduate degrees to nearly 300 May graduates.
