Concordia's premier instrumental ensemble performs across Nebraska

The Concordia University, Nebraska University Symphonic Band will perform for the students, faculty and staff at its four Lutheran high school partner schools in Nebraska, as well as for the community in Seward, Nebraska, in mid-February. The concert at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska, is free and open to the public on Feb. 21, 2016, at 3 p.m.

Concordia hosts forensics tournaments for high school, college competitors

Concordia University, Nebraska recently hosted two annual forensics tournaments for both college and high school speakers. The Sleet and Snow Swing Invitational Jan.16-17, 2016, brought in dozens of speakers from 10 colleges representing five states. The CUNE High School Speech Classic on Jan. 23, 2016, brought nearly 200 high school speakers from 17 high schools to Concordia.

Students teach English in Shenzhen summer camps

Concordia University, Nebraska students are teaching English and American culture to students in grades kindergarten through eighth at Buena Vista Concordia International School during two three-week camps this summer, scheduled for June 22-July 10 and July 13-31. The school is located in Shenzhen, China, and is the first school in mainland China sponsored by the The Lutheran Church--Hong Kong Synod.

A group of 20 Concordia University, Nebraska students, alumni and friends embarked on a tour of the Holy Land from June 11-25, 2015. The tour, led by Dr. Mark Meehl, professor of theology, included visits to Galilee, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and other Biblical sites in the surrounding areas.
